Sunraysia Community Health Services Inc. (SCHS) is a non-profit, community based organisation. We provide a variety of health and support services to the Sunraysia community. We are committed to quality and safety practices and maintaining our accreditation status via AS/NZS 9001:2000

Our Mission
To enhance the health and welfare of individuals, families and communities by providing quality programs and services that are accessible and responsive to the needs of the whole community.

Eligibility
Most services are available to persons with an assessed need. In some cases, the Government funds us to provide services exclusively for Health Care Cardholder’s or particular target groups. For example, public dental services can only be provided to current health care card concession holders and must be produced at time of appointment.

Referrals
Are not generally necessary to access our services. Our friendly staff will advise you of any exceptions.

Charges
May apply in some instances. We keep these to a minimum. Programs that are funded for specific target groups may have set structured fees by the funding body. For example the State Government sets payments for public dental services.

Helping you get appropriate care
We will provide information about alternative services, if we do not provide the service you are seeking. In some cases, healthcare staff will help coordinate your requirements in conjunction with another provider.

Ethics, Values & Code of Conduct
Our staff are in a unique position of trust requiring standards of behaviour that reflect community expectations. Our code of conduct applies to all SCHS employees, whether full time, part time, casual, permanent, temporary, trainee, apprentice or volunteer. Maintaining the trust of the public means - our staff properly using the resources, information and authority:

• ensuring that the personal interests of our staff do not adversely influence the way we carry out our duties.


• complying with Acts, Regulations, Guidelines and Policies relevant to our role.
