Housing Support [SAAP] provides assistance to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The service provides assistance to young people from age 15, single adults, families and women and children experiencing domestic violence.

The aim of the program is to assist people to move through crisis and/or homelessness to independence and to maintain appropriate, secure and sustainable housing.

The assistance provided by SAAP is tailored to the individual person’s and families needs through case management which may range from a single session to more extensive contact and support.

The support offered includes access to crisis and transitional housing, assistance to obtain Office of Housing or Bond Loan, assessment and referral, mediation, early intervention, brokerage, counseling and advocacy. The service also has access to HEF (Housing Establishment Fund) to assist people to obtain or maintain private rental.
