Eligibility
Anyone wishing to deal with the negative impact of substance use on their lives and to detox from Alcohol and/or other drugs. No age restrictions.

Alcohol & Other Drugs Withdrawal Service ("Rural Withdrawal Service")
The aim of the service is to support individuals and their families/carers in achieving their goals in the management of their substance related issues. This may involve strategies to minimise Alcohol and/or other Drug induced harm through substance use reduction or support and liaison with other agencies to achieve full withdrawal from the substance(s) of concern.
Initial assessment (1-2 hours) is made to explore issues and set goals.
The client and Withdrawal Nurse select from a choice of locations for withdrawal (detox). Examples are: hospital based, residential detox facilities or home-based detox. Selection criteria for home-based detox apply.
Office hours: The Withdrawal Nurse is available:
At this office: Wed., Thurs., and alternate Fridays 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Overnight on-call: Wed., Thurs., and alternate Fridays 5:00 PM - 9:00 AM.
