The Pyrenees Shire has a commitment to the delivery of aged care and disability support services to the community under it’s Home and Community Care (HACC) Programs.

These services are jointly funded by Council, the State Government, Department of Human Services and the Commonwealth Government.

Clients may access these services by referral through other service providers, family or self referral. Eligibility criteria and a charge for service delivery apply to all programs.

The Council’s Home Care Services is responsible for providing Home and Community Care through meals on wheels, providing personal care services, home help, respite services and home maintenance.

The Home Care Services aim to help persons remain living independently at home, for as long as possible, rather than be inappropriately institutionalised or in hospital.
